I'm motivated about improving the experiences of others through design and creating simple solutions to complex problems.

Hey, I'm Lilleth Snavely, a third-year systems engineering student at UVA with a love for human-centered design.

My journey with UX/UI design started in one of my systems engineering courses that focused on human centered design. Our final project required us to redesign an outdated interface while focusing on the users' functional needs. This is when I discovered Figma. I found myself immersed in my assignment and decided UX/UI design was something I had to pursue.

Growing up as a dancer, I have always had an inclination towards art and creativity. However, my analytical side pushed me towards a degree in engineering. I love how UX/UI design allows me to combine both my analytical and creativity skills.

Along with systems engineering, I am studying computer science and have been able to use my skills during my time as an application development intern at Vanguard and a digital designer/web developer at Hiro. I hope to be able to bridge the gap between design and development through my different backgrounds.

Unrelated to work and school, I love discovering new music and attending as many concerts as I can. Growing up in the greater Philadelphia area, there was never a lack of live music. You can also find me exploring nature parks with my yorkie Cleo, teaching and attending dance workshops, or exploring new cities.
